Within the past months a tablet rendered map viewing version of NDrive 11 mobile software has been in the pipeline and will launch in the coming weeks. This year we will see tablet sales match that of netbooks, the small, cheap computers which have turned the mobile PC market upside down in recent years. That means, tablets are no longer the luxury gadgets of wealthy corporate executives, but becoming everyday commodities at a rapid pace and since NDrive’s focus is on mobility of all types, they’ve placed bets and developed a tablet application for holidays and business travels which will be known as NDrive HD.

Looking to platforms for product offerings - WebOS, Android and Apple (through their partners at NAVVGPS) will be the first platforms to see NDrive HD; a high definition interactive map viewing application with extended turn-by-turn capabilities. In situations of households with multiple mobility devices, users can now familiarize themselves with NDrive software at home on a tablet and on the road with a mobile device. NDrive HD will offer all of NDrive’s connected features including social network integration, live traffic, and streaming weather - turning your tablet into a true discovery companion.

An interesting American survey points out that an average user spends only 25% of his or her daily digital activities with content creation, and the remaining 75% is spent on content consumption (browsing, watching videos and movies, reading e-books, playing games). For such activities a tablet seems to be the better and more comfortable choice. Interactive map viewing has a place in such a market and NDrive plans to move quickly, invest, and offer as much rich content as possible to its consumers. Look for NDrive HD in tablet application stores soon.
